        So I don't understand, are you planning on my on making these moves in year 2020?

        If so, you can't trade Gardiner because he will be a UFA at the end of the 2018-2019 season.

        If not, I highly doubt you can trade the rights to player that is under contract. I'm talking about Marleau here, and on top of that I don't think you will get 3rd draft pick for the 39 year old.

        You also can't sign a player under contract to another team, Christopher tanev, you have trade for him first.
        Same with Ryan Callahan.

        no if you read the trade it says make the moves in a certain year. marleau if he's still playing could be a sign and trade

        He signed a contract with Flyers, during contract he was dealt to the Blue jackets and while still under that contract he was also dealt to the kings.
