I'm sorry, what is that Calgary trade? Bennet and Lazar have proven to be nothing at all and the other guy was just a 7th round pick and has played 13 total games in Sweden with 0 points

I also fail to see how Hudson fasching who has done nothing in the ahl except get benched in the playoffs has any value at all, let alone moving from 32 to 24

No, well actually I think it's beneficial for both teams, MIN gets a choice in the fourth round early, and the choice number 32, only eight points difference, Fasching from Minnesota, he has potential, but he just didn't get in the organization Buffalo, this guy could well succeed in another organization, especially in his native lands.

4th round picks are useless.

Anything is better than nothing, the fans of Minnesota apparently agrees to a deal, earlier today I seen this deal at Shibbal18, where they were not opposed.

Fasching is 22, and has played well, plays a Minnesota’s style, prospects from 20 to 45 are indiscernible from each other, Minnesota gets 2 prospects for the price of one and moves up from the bottom of the 5th to the top of the 4th, I could go on and on but that kid just doesn’t get it so I don’t even bother with him.

Although I believe Bennett and Reinhardt are basically a saw-off (Bennett much faster, better D & playoffs, likely will improve scoring) the other pieces are definitely available. I’d think you’d have to add a couple “similar” Buffalo pieces, ie low picks to balance out the bodies. I think Calgary would do such a deal because they need right shots, and RW and Reinhardt could be both. Forget the comments that 4th rounders are worthless.... Gaudreau..... many others. Not so, just higher risk.

Fasching turns 23 before the season starts and has done nothing in the AHL. He was benched for the playoffs. He is not good at hockey and doesn't get you anything in a trade. Your teams are laughably bad

Reinhart has like twice as many points as Bennett for his career

You are right, but points isn’t the only thing, and I expect Bennett will even thatout over time. Therefore today not an even saw-off, but not by as much as you think.

I wouldn’t want to add much more because the production hasn’t been there for Bennett or Lazar but the benefits you pointed out for Bennett as well as he being a left shot help the Sabres out a lot. Lazar has great advanced stats but is not producing so I think he is a low risk add in that could flourish with Mittelstadt as his center, instead of playing his off hand side with Stajan. The lack of production to this point though is why add a pick and prospect.

Reinhart is a great player. He was absolutely fire in the last 40 games of the year. Do you really wanna trade a guy who can get 60 points a year when he hits his stride?

All moot now with Fasching going to ARI, one of the teams i thought would want him
