Seabrook is actually worth his contract and is a solid 3rd maybe 2nd defenceman while lucic is worth max half his contract it would be edmonton giving up something while chicago gets not only some return on seabrook but compensation for lucic (NYR fan)

Agree, the dollars are important but Seabrook is actually a very good player.

Are you kidding? This isn't 2014 anymore.

Seabrook is signed for another EIGHT years at a higher cap hit, his contract is one of the few actually worse than Lucic's.

he has 1 more year and 900k more but is useful for now maybe after 3-4 years it wont be but for next year and next couple its better currently.
