Nah, Jets don't need another top 6 piece, especially if that top 6 piece essentially costs them 7.5mill for the next 3 years with another 1.5 for another 2 after that. Roslovic has earned a shot at 2C.

If Edmonton wants Myers, I imagine Puljujarvi would come into the deal somehow. The only thing the Oilers have the Jets want are prospects. A bottom 6 winger with a decent ceiling would be decent compensation, and the Jets could always offer more for him.

i agree completely, but at the same time i feel the jets would would have a better chance on winning the cup with RHN in the middle between ehlers, laine, and if top 2 c ever get injured we could see what Roslovic could do

Thinking Roslovic needs another year is pretty valid. The better option is getting a 2C with less term. Sens and Wild are both rebuilding teams and it would give us a chance to use our ridiculous prospect depth to acquire them.
In order my preference would be
    1) Eric Staal
    2) Resign Statsny for a year
    3) Pavelski
    4) Duchene or stupidly cheap Hoffman

You could even make a pitch to Tavares to come centre Winnipeg for a year at a relatively cheap price of 8 million. Financially it wouldn't make a lot of sense, but the numbers he would put up centering Laine and Ehlers would only elevate his value in the long run.

oilers wouldn't be accepting too much cap for what will be declining players, Little and Myers. does any team offer Myers six years next year, probably not.

Given that Roslovic needs a couple of years at 3rd line center, I'm all in on RNH for 3 years, but we would have to trade BL before July 1 to make the cap work in a couple of years. RNH $ is similar to what it would take to bring Stasny back. That said, I'm reading that Edmonton may have lost their interest in moving RNH. They also can't really afford an expensive 3rd line center.

I think our best trade partner for Little is Montreal. Myer's may be palatable for Edmonton given his current term
