What a goofy trade.

Wahlstrom isn't NHL eligible for next season. He's committed to Harvard for at least a year. In the meantime, Merkley fills the vacant RW spot nicely, but I'd have him on the 3rd line and Fischer on the 2nd. I'd also swap Dvorak and Kruger as the #3 and #4Cs. I don't like the idea of Dick Panik as the #1RW for the Coyotes, but it's hard to really find a spot for him on this roster. Personally, I'd have him on the 4th line with some PP and PK time. Scratch Archibald. Also, Perlini really needs to be in the lineup ahead of Cousins. I don't understand why you have the 30pt guy scratched ahead of the 19pt guy. Crouse is probably going to be an AHL guy for his entire career.

I don't agree with the line combinations like making Dvorak 4th line center when he belongs as a 2nd line center so Strome can ease into the season as 3rd line and 2nd line PP to expand his role at his own rate. Also, why is Perlini not in the starting lineup?
The other problem I see is why would you take Wahlstrom at #5 when there's so many better options. Assuming Tkatchuk goes 4, ARI has to take one of the right handed defensemen (Bouchard, Hughes, Dobson, or Boqvist). I just don't see Wahlstrom going 5 despite his offensive awareness and NHL ready shot. There have been numerous reports about his bad work ethic and 200 foot game needing work. While those aren't deal brakers, I consider those road blocks that keep him out of the top 5 and even out of the top 10 in a draft this deep.

In all honesty I’m an expert on the Dallas Stars roster and their prospects. I did very little research in building this team.

HE can uncommit if he wants, Girgensons did it.

I gotta be honest, for all the Montreal fans that were talking up the value of Alex Galchenyuk, this has got to sting!
