Too bad you’re not part of the Detroit Org...:/ Difference between 3 and 6 this year is pretty significant. Also I think The wings want Anathasiou of their plate.

I’d like to imagine that Lou would probably just laugh at the offer. IMAGINE a world where a third string goalie is worth a first round pick

The fact that Lou is in the org now does change my mind hahaha although Lindgren isn’t a bonified third string goalie... still young and developing and has definitely shown starting potential

AHL stats 2017-18 :

37 Game played, 8 wins and 19 loss
GAA : 3.39
%save : .886

That's defenitely not worth a 1st pick!

simply try: MTL 3OA + Lekhonen+ McCarron for DET 6OA+ AAtha+ Ouellet (Detroit need to shave some$$$)
But this will mean that Montreal will go even on a trade... IMPOSSIBLE as they always lose in all trades!

Yes there is a difference but the Wings are looking to improve defense not take a forward, which they can take at 6. The 1st 4 picks will be 1 d and 3 forwards. That leaves several good defensemen to take this year and possibly a forward if one of the top 3 drop.
And I do not think they want to get rid of AA as you say, but want him to mature and play a whole hockey game not just an offensive game. I may not like the way they are doing it but I understand the reason.
Trading up for a forward and giving up a forward makes zero sense. Keep the pick and trade AA and the high 2nd or the Vegas for a player or to move up into the low 20s.

If you knew anything about hockey you’d realize goalies take a while to develop... also worth noting his play in the NHL is better than in the AHL
