the sabres would decline. its all futures, but none too great, and the sabres assume the risk. the bonus money doesnt concern me and probably doesnt concern our owner that much. essentially it is assigning a cash value to an asset/player/pick, and our owner at this point would be buying not selling. unless a fantastic draft pick, ie 3oa, is coming back, theres just no reason to do this before tavares signs and the market heats up.
