If you honestly believe Zadina will fall to 9th I have a few magic rocks to sell you. Also Dallas is not giving up all that to save some cap money for one year.

Rangere fans totally overestimate the value of Namestnikov, and really the one year rental of Zuccarello.

I don't read twitter... what I do read is projected draft boards and scouting reports. He won't go past 4th at the latest. You got some good greenery if you think he's sliding to 9th.

I was referring to what was written in the description above. One projected draft board, notably from Edmonton beat writers I believe, had Zadina slipping to #9. It's absolutely ridiculous, but it happened today.

Disagree. Namestnikov is a solid middle-six winger who someone can get on a pretty light contract (4 years 3.5 mil/per-ish). Definitely worth a pair of second round picks (Lars Eller netted two second rounders a few years ago). Zucc has averaged 56 points a year over the last five seasons with non-superstar linemates and has a favorable contract for teams that need a top-6 winger position filled. Those players routinely net first round picks at the deadline. Having that kind of player for a full year is surely worth a first round pick.

Names has had only one good half the season in the NHL....he's just pretty average. Looks what he did with the Rangers last year. 4 points in 19 games. I'll agree with you Zucc would return maybe a first at TDL to true contending team who needs a winger. But I don't think an out of the playoff team will risk a lottery pick on a one year rental. Hence Zucc value might be later in the season but the pick would likely be the mid 20s.
