Dougie Hamilton is a top 2 defenseman on almost any team. You are giving up a bunch of nothing. Appropriate return would be something along the lines of

Hamilton and Brodie?! Wow, that's the two good flames defensemen. Skjei is really good and young, but still that depletes Calgary a lot. The offense would be really sick though.

Brodie is a defensive liability. Now that I think about it though, Calgary probably needs to work on their defending (goalie) more than their offense.

Skjei isn't much of an upgrade from Brodie really, aside from being younger. He has a similar play style.

I don't know about that. CGY is specifically interested in Hayes, and the team doesn't have a 1st or a 2nd this year. It might be a little bit low, but I would think it to be fairly close if CGY is willing to move Ham at all.
