You're not getting fair value for Nielsen, you'd have to pay the other team to take him.

Also Vancouver won't drop 23 spots

I am just wishing on those draft picks. I believe Detroit should invest in some more upper level talented drafts picks rather than going for quantity. At least in this draft class. And Nielsen was definitely a **** signing, a contract that should be shopped around some what.

Fat chance i see Montreal being on Nielsen's acceptable trade list, Detroit would need to retain on that contract to move him any ways. Franzen is on LTIR only making $1 million in real money no need to move him. And Ottawa would decline the Karlsson deal rather easily.

Lots of issues here...
Montreal says OK... but retain $2M a year (so deal wont happen)

Ill skip the Vancouver trade

The Franzen trade doesnt need to happen.. he is on LTIR so hes no big deal for detroit, no need to move him.

Ottawa says "LMAO" - Green isnt signing a 2 year deal to be traded, his next sign will have NTC. Svechnikov's upside is all talk, but the guy cant break an NHL roster on a BAD team. Nyquist is last year of a deal, so even if he had a good year, he could be gone the next. Not enough upside for Ottawa.
