what would be the point in that trade. Give up the youth in goal for a guy pushing 40? and giving up a potential star center. Makes no sense. And the team is completely decimated down the middle with that trade... I get it, you get ekblad, but I think Lindholm is almost equal. He doesnt get any love due to being on the West Coast.

Bud, the Ducks should be in rebuild mode. The reason why Luongo is coming back is because of needing a goalie that is still decent and taking salary back, Barkov is probbaly the most underrated center in the league. Steel is exactly that, a potential star. Ekblad is better than Lindy. Gibby is going to be wasted and the ducks won't be able to afford his next contract.
