A Kessel trade because everyone else is

Description
I don't believe Kessel will be traded but if he is its not going ot be for 1 player alone that can replace his production. Its going to be more about "depth" which seems to be the tag line for the Pens off season.
This does give the Pens depth and a 1st round pick which GMJR has been rumored to want to get and financial flexibility for next seaosn when guentzel and ZAR are free agents.

The Penguins' offensive production decreases without Kessel. Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin should not be the only point production leaders on the team.

I agree which is why i stated i don't think a trade will happen because the Pens won't get a player that can make up for that production. They will get a decent player and additional depth that they hope can make up for it by getting production from all 4 lines which is no guarantee. I believe they can get depth and keep Kessel. Only if Kessel comes out and demands to be traded do I think the Pens will move him.
