Description
Before I get haters please understand that it is a fact we are 48 years since a player wearing a leaf jersey has sipped from lord stanley and though it might take few more til Shanahan and Co. get the rebuild finally complete here is what I would do....very little we might love to have our parade next year but let's be real we won't be til at best 2018 were we are consistently in the playoffs. So this post is what probably happen this offseason seeing that leafs Fans have no luck ( owners had luck they were able to charge an arm and a leg for fans to see a horse patty with stick for years and the majority players on those team were overpaid so they were defiantly lucky ownership couldn't sign a proper GM since...well Cliff fletcher stepped down as GM. BTW though I am old enough to remember and I know we were close in the early 90's we were still just close.

As someone who remembers 1967, and even 1962, it hasn't been 48 year rebuilt, but I like you am enjoying this one. Like your team here, no high priced UFAs needed. Don't know if the Hawks would want to take on Horton and his $ m owing, when Bickell buyout would only cost 1m a year for two years. A Cowan-Bickell trade might happen.

My thinking was they would be able to free up 5.3 in cap space where Bicknell buyout only frees up 3. that's 2.3 million more they can use for resigning a player.

I get that but anyways it was just an example of the type of trade I could see unless a player comes available that could be lost to expansion that is a major upgrade.
