His production didn't equate to his salary in the slightest though. Throw in the injury after injury..... He had 1 good year in NYR where he scored 40+ but aside from that, was overpaid for what he brought. Is he a bad player? No, not at all but the 7.8M could of been spent on other players who would of earned it.

I think Patch still has lot to give so if you can give him a shorter but more expensive contract, I think its worth it. Something like 8x4, he'd be worth it. We'll see what happens.
