  1. Gallagher, Brendan
  2. Shaw, Andrew
Additional Details:
Gallagher is a small gritty 30 goal scorer on a decent contract. Shaw is a gritty bottom six forward who has cup winning experience and is an upgrade to Lehtera.

Additional Details:
Rumours are going around that Nashville is unhappy with PK and Montreal is the perfect team to trade for him since they need Offense from their D. It also fixes the mistake made in 2016 to trade him in the first place. Trading for Tolvanen brings in a potential 30 goal scorer and a potential linemate for Kotkaniemi. Montreal also receives a late 20's first-round pick from Nashville.

  1. Pacioretty, Max

  3. Weber, Shea ($857,143 retained)

Pacioretty is a 30 goal scorer on a team with no centres and could potentially be a 40 goal scorer playing in the right situation. Pacioretty then signs a 7 year 6 million dollar extension.

Unfortunately the Nashville-Montreal deal is a totally unrealistic dream. Subban better/younger than Weber, and Tolvanen likely a better prospect than Scherbak. David Poile never seems to lose on big trades, so he won't start now. Paccioretty for Tolvanen and a 2nd rounder might be reasonable...

Certainly the Preds don't need Patches at the cost of top prospect Tolvaven. You overrate Weber's leadership, the Preds have done quite well without him, though maybe a Subban for Weber makes sense as any trade.
