cap certainly doesn't work for the future. TVR and Melo on defence, the Leafs defence is worse than last year.

Surely, the Leafs would not have any interest in bringing back a one-dimensional player, such as JVR, for that much money, when the team will have a tough enough time getting our financial in order the following season with some big contracts to get signed. It is my understanding that there has been extremely minimal conversation between JVR's reps and the Leafs in the last month. Clearly, the Leafs don't see it as a good fit either.
