What about a trade for Duchene as a 1 year rental and something for ROR? Lower your cap hit and take gives Mittelstadt another year before moving up.

Lots to like here.

I think if we pay JVR its because ROR is on his way out.

I think GMBOT will add some veterans on short term deals in the bottom lines as well. He believes in the farm system route. Nylander, Guhle, Oloffson all need to pay more dues. Lots of players off the books after this year and next. The prospects will probably sprinkle in.

But I tptally like what you did, just don't think Sabres FO will feel the same.
