I think Zucker instead of Nino makes more sense for Buffalo.

I needed to move the cap of Nino and wanted to keep the Zucker speed. You could plug Zucker in there but I think this team is slower overall then. Regardless, the Wild needs a true #1 and there isn't a better Center in the dot and his a 2-way guy who puts up 60pts a season. Plus he's signed for 5 more years. We need this guy.

Zucker just fits more with what Buffalo is trying to build for a FWD group. I'd much rather keep Nino over Zucker too. Kunin probably isn't that interesting to Buffalo either, they have a lot of RW depth in the AHL already.

ROR is an ideal 2C. He can be 1C, but is a poor man's 1C (Koivu mold). I'd really like to have him to help solidify the center position for the next few years. The only problem is to get him is going to hurt, and there will be a bidding war because he's the best available center on the market (JT can only go one place).

If you buy out Prosser, he eats up cap space for 2 years. If you send him to Iowa, his contract is either buried and won't count against the cap or he gets claimed on waivers and he doesn't count against the cap..

Glad we didn't pay what St. Louis paid... yikes!

2 cap dumps, a good but not great prospect, and a couple of picks? I'd take that all day for ROR if I was MN.

It was basically Foligno + Foligno + Kunin + (late) 1st + 2nd.
