The Kings wouldn't do this. Kempe is the 3C of the future for them. They're not going to give up their only quality NHL-ready prospect for two players that wouldn't even make their team, even if it does mean clearing up ~$4M in cap space.

If the Islanders had a 2nd pairing RHD to trade instead of Pelech, then the Kings might consider it. Unfortunately they don't.
