Looking at a bridge for Nylander, might get the be a team guy speech win a bunch and be better in 3 years and get paid. could be 3 yrs at 6m too.

I think the team has to play the long game now that they have Tavares meaning that they shouldn't blow their brains out on a defence but rather look to be perennial contenders in 2 or 3 seasons let some kids develop to fill out hte bottom 3 and hope that one becomes a top 2 (lilijren, sandin, demott maybe) or have 6 top 4 defencemen.

They could definitely improve but I don't think they're trash, .1 g/game less than the caps last year. Reilly and Gardiner control possession well. here area few tools you can look at to see who they stack up against. Yes this is advanced stats and yes Gardiner has defensive lapses but he generates a ton of offence. The right side needs help but i think they have quite a few prospects coming up that will get there in 2-3 years.
