I think Seguin will get less — he’s not McDavid level. Tavares new deal is a good comparable. Then factor in Benn’s contract and the income tax advantage of Texas earnings.

I wouldn’t be surprised if DAL got him to do $10.5 x 8 years by heavily weighting yearly signing bonuses (especially early years) that makes it worth much more to the player in cash terms.

Janmark will likely make more than $1.75M and I highly doubt Dellandrea is going to be on the roster for the 2019-2020 season. He's in Flint this year, and he'll be in the AHL the following season. He's likely a 2020-2021 NHL player.

Other than that, I like the signings and everything. The Stars are in great shape cap wise, and they'll be able to make a splash at some point with all the free space they have available.

I think the Seguin situation may be similar to the Tavares situation next year but not literally the same thing. Management really screwed up in New York and was probably the main reason he left. Management isn’t as big of a problem in Dallas. I just think that Seguin can get an offer of way less/around 13 mil because that’s what Tavares was getting offered. And Tavares took a hometown discount to help his childhood team at 11 AAV. That’s just how I looked at this. Because I think Seguin can get over 11 potentially.

Yeah I figured Dellandrea wouldn’t make it but I just kinda based it off of how this team would look in the future like after 2020. Agree with you though.
