Would be nasty. In my eyes I think Eklund is a top-3 guy in this draft and > Beniers. Upside > "Safe Pick" IMO. The raw technical components of his game are so much fun to watch. And then to add on the fact that his hockey sense really matured and adjusted to the SHL's speed this year is unreal. And that would be such a sick tandem!

Hoping we avoid Jones at all costs. He's been carried by Werenski in CBJ and didn't have a good year at all in terms of underlying numbers. Would be smarter to go after Dougie in FA rather than losing assets for a defenseman that's way worse IMO.

I could see Fiala getting a bit higher in terms of AAV but fair nonetheless. I think we'll see Kaprizov try to go short term on this deal. Perhaps anywhere between 3-5 years in fact. Kaprizov is just 3 years away from being a UFA and the only leverage he'd be able to get in negotiations at this point would be getting a shorter term deal so he can make more money once he is eligible to become a UFA at a younger age. For Ex: If it's 8 years on his deal he'd be a UFA at 32 and it would be harder for him to fully cash in then, whereas if he goes 4-5 ish years then he could instead be a UFA at 28-29 and then cash in while most likely producing at an elite level still. Good work! Hopefully JEEK gets the ice time he deserves next year too.

What Now
If we could get Cody Glass for Erik Gustafsson, I would be ecstatic. Vegas would hang up the phone immediately though. I wonder if a team might overpay and would trade a late-first for Gustafsson since we saw what Justin Braun was able to get in return.

If we do end up signing Pavelski, I’d preferably sign him for one year, doubt he would want that though. But that would ideal since then we would have plenty of money to sign DeBrincat and Strome next year.

Luostarinen has one more year left on his contract with KalPa, so I would expect him to come over to NA in 20/21. I think there's a slim chance for next season.

Kessel would not accept a trade to the Oilers. He already thinks that the Wild would not contend if he was traded there, so he definitely would not go to Edmonton.

Hayes will cost at least $7 AAV on the open market. I'd be surprised if he got anything under that. It's kind of a thin group of centers this year.

I like your thought process on Perlini's contract. Smart to lock up your RFAs, and that deal is not very expensive either.

Would not make sense for Vegas. Only one year left on Clarkson's contract. An example of a trade similar to this concept would be Bickell+Teravainen to Carolina for nearly nothing now. Cap space was much more valuable then as opposed to now (it still is but you get the point), and it is still projected to go up in the future. Attach a 2nd round pick or two to his contract and a team might easily accept that.

This is perfect. We really do not need Panarin, he is only a want. But Dzingel is one of my main targets in the offseason. I think a 5x5 is more likely for him. But we at least get that offensive talent who can score goals, we need that on our top line with Toews and Kane. Then Caggiula can fit in a bottom-six role just fine.

If Anisimov is going to be moved, I would fully expect it to happen in the summer. His Modified-NTC lifts on July 1st and there won’t be any more restrictions on his contract after that.

Sit still in the boat
If McPhee can ever get Gusev over, that would be a major offensive boost. Leading the KHL in points currently. But after what happened with Shipachyov in Vegas, he might take offense to that and not come over. Plus Russians always are hesitant when it comes to money, since they are getting more on their contracts overseas, then they come over to NA and they have to sign only an ELC.

Dallas will only give up this much if Stone resigns in Dallas, but it gives a major upgrade to their secondary scoring. Overall Dallas has a weaker prospect pool but Dellandrea being in this trade makes sense, he'll have a legit chance of being a top-six center in the NHL.

Florida deal
Florida is looking to make a splash on the market come July 1st. Potentially Panarin or Bobrovsky. I think Brassard gets flipped at the TDL for more draft picks. Saad has more term so he would be a little bit more difficult to move at the deadline compared to someone who is a pending UFA.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PenGoater99</b></div><div>Hughes at 1? Kaliyev at 10? Soderstrom all the way at 21?
And so many more things can be changed with this.</div></div>
It is a personal opinion. We all have opinions, so this list is not necessarily wrong. Kaliyev has an improved chance to produce on a struggling Hamilton Bulldogs team, with guys like Saigeon and Entwistle getting traded. I think Kaliyev has the potential to be an elite sniper and he is probably the purest goal scorer in this draft. I think Soderstrom has the potential to rise and Honka might slip, but for now I kept him outside my Top-20 just to keep it safe. Dorofeyev and Pelletier are a few of the most underrated prospects in this draft class. And Hughes will go first overall. It is like the Matthews/Laine debate in 2016 when Laine had a great WJC as well as a good season in Liiga. Things will change over time, but I am confident with my current list.

Plan the Parade
Seabrook probably does not waive for Ottawa. Also, if Seabrook’s full contract were to be moved, a high caliber young player would most likely have to be included (Jokiharju, Boqvist, etc). I would build up Murphy’s value as much as possible before he is a UFA in 2022. Ideally, he can be put in a top 4 role for the next few seasons and if he is consistent there, we could get a 1st/C+-B prospect out of him at the 2022 trade deadline. The bottom-six looks nice but I think at least a few of those players will start out in Rockford before making it right away to the NHL. I would much rather have Entwistle, Kurashev, and Barratt get top-six minutes in Rockford rather than being sheltered in Chicago. We’ll eventually need money to sign most of the guys on their ELCs so I doubt it is possible that both Stone and Panarin sign here. Slavin is basically untouchable as well.

Not necessarily. Stone is a pending UFA after this season and people are not sure if he will resign. Plus, the value on these two are pretty close.
