Buffalo Do You Accept This
Not sure if they take the risk on Murphy. Murphy has the longer term and arguably his contract is pretty afforable. I think if he turns into a legit top 4 defenseman, then the risk would be worth it. Bogosian obviously is more expensive but since he has one more year left on his contract, they could just let him leave for FA to clear cap.

Playoff team next season
A Panarin-Kravtsov duo would be lethal. He has been great in this tournament, six points. I am still betting on him signing with the Rangers, big city, just what his girlfriend would want.

Matthews
Doesn’t make sense for either team. Montreal has been rolling lately, and losing basically a good portion of your future top-six would put them in a bad spot again. For Toronto, they are losing a stud franchise center (the value is okay) and I don’t think Dubas would want to break that center core of Matthews, Tavares, and Kadri ever. That center core is going to be what’s key to win throughout the playoffs.

This gm is too smart to be Chiarelli. You’d have to get Clarkson, Backes, Johnson, and Bouwmeester in these trades ;).

No way Slavin is being traded. Their depth is on their right side (Hamilton, Faulk, Pesce). They also have defensive prospects to replace either Faulk/Pesce (assuming one of them go) so the depth is there. Slavin-Hamilton is a pretty good 1st pairing to have so I don’t think they would want to break that up either.

Acquiring Lee at TDL
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JacobSmells</b></div><div>I realize Anders Lee is coming off of a 40 goal season, but this seems like a lot to give up for a guy who imo is overrated with inflated numbers due to playing with Tavares. NYI would definitely accept this offer though, but I don't think Vegas would give up 2 roster players for him</div></div>
If Vegas wants to take another run deep into the playoffs, I think a guy like Lee would definitely help that. I get what you’re saying that he’s played better with a guy like Tavares, but Vegas lost two key wingers in Perron and Neal so I think they need someone to replace at least one of them. Plus their center depth is fine without Haula and Eakin along with Suzuki coming along eventually.

I would take that haul for Kane tbh. Tuch can still develop into an even better top-six power forward, Glass can be a Scheifele/Johansen type 1C, Schmidt played with McNabb on Vegas’ top pair last year so you could play him with Keith, and the picks are a bonus. Plus we clear 10 mil in space for extra moves.

If we don't make the playoffs...
I’d rather not acquire Ristolainen in a Kane deal. He’s a huge liability, and his defensive metrics are horribly weak. He basically only eats top pairing and PP time. And our right side is set for the future with Boqvist, Jokiharju, and Mitchell, so I don’t think the right side needs too much work. I know you traded Mitchell in this scenario, but still. Other than that, Philadelphia, Buffalo, and Carolina reject.

Resigning Seguin and Looking at the future
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>J_Sand3rs</b></div><div>Janmark will likely make more than $1.75M and I highly doubt Dellandrea is going to be on the roster for the 2019-2020 season. He's in Flint this year, and he'll be in the AHL the following season. He's likely a 2020-2021 NHL player.
Other than that, I like the signings and everything. The Stars are in great shape cap wise, and they'll be able to make a splash at some point with all the free space they have available.</div></div>
Yeah I figured Dellandrea wouldn’t make it but I just kinda based it off of how this team would look in the future like after 2020. Agree with you though.

Resigning Seguin and Looking at the future
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Vanderm</b></div><div>I think Seguin will get less — he’s not McDavid level. Tavares new deal is a good comparable. Then factor in Benn’s contract and the income tax advantage of Texas earnings.
I wouldn’t be surprised if DAL got him to do $10.5 x 8 years by heavily weighting yearly signing bonuses (especially early years) that makes it worth much more to the player in cash terms.</div></div>
I think the Seguin situation may be similar to the Tavares situation next year but not literally the same thing. Management really screwed up in New York and was probably the main reason he left. Management isn’t as big of a problem in Dallas. I just think that Seguin can get an offer of way less/around 13 mil because that’s what Tavares was getting offered. And Tavares took a hometown discount to help his childhood team at 11 AAV. That’s just how I looked at this. Because I think Seguin can get over 11 potentially.

You’re basing this on one season. The Hawks wanted a familiar face back in the locker room. They got it. They wanted someone who brought back chemistry with Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane. They got it. He still had 17 goals in a 35 Point season which it could’ve been worse. He could’ve had like 8. They needed someone to replace Hossa’s two-way style of game who added some strength and size. They got it. You wanna talk about overpaid? HA. Look at Brent Seabrook. There’s a real buyout option. Horrible contract given by Bowman. And by the way Saad is not the type of guy you’d expect to get 60+ points. Usually in more of the 45-55 range. They needed the fit to replace Hossa and needed Panarin out to bring back that type of player and Saad was the one. Saad knows he had an off year and he has the ability to bounce back from it.

Saad isn’t overpaid LOL. He had one bad year with 35 points. He’s an all star and 2x cup winner the hawks wanted back to replace the size and two-way play Hossa brought to the team. How on earth is Saad overpaid. He would be the most likely player to have a bounce back year than anybody else.
