        Honestly we can keep Panik for probably 800-900k. Take that extra 250k plus the extra cap space and add it to Richards' contract to keep Shaw.

        Can't give him less than $1,023,750 - that's his QO. And the problem with Shaw is not 2016-17, it's 2017-18. We already have virtually no way to retain Teravainen, unless he takes a baby bridge deal, Shaw would make it impossible to retain Panarin. I'll pass. I love Shaw a lot, and think he's a great gritty 30-40 point player, but not enough to sacrifice those other players.
