Realistic18-19 Opening Night Roster

Description
I could fiddle with some possible Simmonds trade scenarios, but my gut tells me he's on the roster opening night (unless negotiations really go south).

The PK is pretty random and more players can be subbed in and/or used.

I'd prefer Weal is traded so NAK can crack the line up, but his value isn't much after his poor 17-18 season in my opinion.

Definitely agree that this is the most likely lineup for October. I wish Hexy would move one of the goalies to reduce the logjam. Prolly won't happen though...

I bet we could move Neuvy to WPG once they get their RFAs sorted. They need a backup badly!

I wish Chicago didn't sign Cam Ward. Neuvy would be a back up candidate in CHI imo.

I think this is accurate, I just wish Lehtera wasn't there... At this point I'd see if Neuvirth would be open to just terminating his contract, he can't stay healthy and I'd much rather have Lyon there. Otherwise we have the cap space this year to let him sit in the press box all year and have Lyon and Elliott split the starts.

I'm not so sure; he cannot stay healthy. If I were a GM, I would certainly stay away.

If he can stay healthy for 1/2 the year and get in 10 starts, that is better than them rolling a donkey out there. Comrie likely isn't ready and Brossoit isn't good enough to be in the NHL. They could call Comrie up if Neuvy gets hurt and ease him into the NHL that way. We can always retain 50% on Neuvy to make it easier for WPG to swallow.

Neuvy did get a new training coach so perhaps he's more motivated (a little too late?) But would be nice to have him and Lehtera gone. Soon they will be! Would love one of the young guys from the AHL to force Lehtera out of the lineup.

One will for sure. There are too many guys down there that can play a 4th line role with the big club. Also need to make spots for the new guys coming into the phantoms. I also wouldn't be surprised to see NAK on the big club.

I would love it if NAK made it. Has decent size but plays bigger than you'd expect. Has a little fight in his game. He was impressive last year with the Phantoms. Lot of ES points!
