Playing Morin was with the assumption all goes well with his eventual conditioning stint with LHV. I'm not Flyers management, but I would assume they are going to want to see him as much as possible since he's not waiver exempt as well as they can see what we may have in him at the NHL level. I'm excited to see him! If Myers sticks up, I could see Gordon having a rotation that allows Morin to ease in and not play every single day/game.

I personally don't want to trade him, especially with how consistent he's been this year. But I want guys like Morin and Myers getting a shot. Maybe Amac can be moved in offseason instead with retained salary, or even via buy out

I think i would go Giroux-Couts-Stone. Not only could this line shutdown opposing team's top line, but also score against them.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>yanp007</b></div><div>Agree with that!! But Weise is a cap dump, you get lehkonen, a TOP6 prospect, but TOP9 right now, Rielly, a 3rd pairing defense and at best, a 2nd pairing, Peca a deepth foward and a 2nd pick</div></div>
But Flyers have zero need to dump Weise; we have ample cap space and if necessary can just buy him out. We also don't need a 3rd pairing Dman or depth forward. We have all that internally.

Any trade for Ghost starts with a 1st Rd Pick. One of the better PP QB and Offensive Dman in the NHL. Plus he is on an extremely cap-friendly contract.

Yeah he's playing on the right side with Provy but is a LH shot. The only young RH shot dman Flyers have in their system is Phil Myers who should be called up in the near future.

We will lose a RW when Simmonds is gone. Assuming Morgan Frost makes the team, he could slot as a LW. Or you simply move Giroux back to LW for the top line which bumps JVR and Lindblom down.

Idk why everyone is ignoring the sentence that followed this untouchable quote.... he then said "theres a handful of others that wouldn't make much sense to trade." That applies to guys like Hart, Patrick, and Provorov. We haven't had a legit goalie prospect in a very very long time. Hart isn't going anywhere.

Yea its cool to play for your home and all, but the market in Toronto loves Matthews and I think he enjoys it too. Different life styles Toronto Vs Arizona and I think with his age and the "swagger" he has, he'll prefer to stay in a bigger market.

I would love it if NAK made it. Has decent size but plays bigger than you'd expect. Has a little fight in his game. He was impressive last year with the Phantoms. Lot of ES points!

At this point I'd see if Neuvirth would be open to just terminating his contract, he can't stay healthy and I'd much rather have Lyon there. Otherwise we have the cap space this year to let him sit in the press box all year and have Lyon and Elliott split the starts.</div></div>
Neuvy did get a new training coach so perhaps he's more motivated (a little too late?) But would be nice to have him and Lehtera gone. Soon they will be! Would love one of the young guys from the AHL to force Lehtera out of the lineup.

More Ideas: O'Reilly, Myers, Boedker, Grabner
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DirtyDangles</b></div><div>If we ad JVR by moving Simmer then sure but otherwise, I prefer Simmer for 4 x 5.5 (max i would pay). He is proven and has those intangibles. Allison might be closer than Ratcillfe but I don't see either being ready for another year or 2. Do you think Allison will be anything more than a 4th liner?</div></div>
Well, for starters I would happily sign that Simmonds deal. But I think he asks for more or another team overpays. I think Allison could have joined the Phantoms for this upcoming season, but he decided to return to Michigan. If he didn't get injured, he would have most likely been a Hobey Baker Finalist. His stock has only gone up since we drafted him and at age 20, he's bigger than Wayne. Supposedly Allison had one of the better shots last September at camp and that its an "NHL shot." Having said all of this, no clue if he'll be more than a 4th liner lol. I do think there's potential for him to be a top 6 winger. He has produced at every level and improves yearly. Seems to be a shoot-first winger which is something the Flyers could use.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DirtyDangles</b></div><div>I hope we re-up Simmer. He is great on the PP, a very solid PKer and brings leadership and heart.</div></div>
I'm a little hesitant to re-up Simmer... I love the guy but he's due a nice raise for the steal of a contract he's been playing on. I wonder how much we "need" him down the line when we have guys like Allison or even Ratliff in our system. I think from a management perspective it would be wise to explore trading options. Also, if you can move Simmonds you can possibly add JVR via FA as a replacement (on the left side).

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DirtyDangles</b></div><div>I'm baffled why people keep getting us a 1 or 2C...Patrick showed in the second half of the year that he is the real deal. Why bury him down the lineup for 5 years? I don't get the SJ trade at all. Why Boedker? He hasn't shown anything for like 5 years.</div></div>
I think its more the idea of having 3 scoring lines and 3 very strong centers; I feel most contending teams have this depth as well. I don't think you have to bury Patrick with bringing in ROR. It gives us options and perhaps finally an upgraded 2nd PP unit. Couts-Patrick-ROR would be a nightmare to match up against imo. I'm not saying go make this trade, but I can understand the idea of it.
