2019 TDL

AMac can sit in the press-box. I'm not willing to throw Morin in as an every day starter yet and having Myers start on the 3rd pairing would be beneficial.

I don't think we have any interest in trading Gudas. You can tell by the way he acts with Hart that he is a leader in that room and that the guys love him.

I think putting him with Coots is the better idea. Lindblom, Coots and Stone as a shutdown line with high offensive potential could be lethal!

I would love Stone in Philly.

Another Ghost trade and UFA
Thats legit a bunch of Montreals garbage stuck together with a 2nd for Gostisbehere. Weise has a year left and the Flyers look to be rebuilding so cap dumps dont help them

If Panarin is going to be that pricey, I think we go for Stone or someone slightly cheaper...around the $8.5-$9.5 range

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>athrin</b></div><div>Stone is a RW, looks like Flyers need a LW.</div></div>
Laughton is a LWer and Giroux plays LW when needed. If Frost is ready next year, he likely becomes our 3C. So that leaves G, JVR, Lindblom and Laugton down LW.

Realistic18-19 Opening Night Roster
I think this is accurate, I just wish Lehtera wasn't there... At this point I'd see if Neuvirth would be open to just terminating his contract, he can't stay healthy and I'd much rather have Lyon there. Otherwise we have the cap space this year to let him sit in the press box all year and have Lyon and Elliott split the starts.

Definitely agree that this is the most likely lineup for October. I wish Hexy would move one of the goalies to reduce the logjam. Prolly won't happen though...

I bet we could move Neuvy to WPG once they get their RFAs sorted. They need a backup badly!

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ajp_18</b></div><div>Columbus has 7 guys who play the same way Simmonds does..... we don’t need another one of those players. We need more high skill guys like Panarin. You’d have to offer more quality to the trade for Panarin. Sorry.</div></div>
Earlier it was 9, what happened to the other 2? You can’t seem to comprehend that Panarin is a pending UFA. Nobody is going to give up a ton for him just like nobody is going to give up a ton for Karlsson without an extension in place.

Anaheim's asked Perry for a list of contracts where he's willing to trade. Perry is considered a candidate for redemption. He has another 3 years of 8 million and lost productivity.

More Ideas: O'Reilly, Myers, Boedker, Grabner
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DirtyDangles</b></div><div>If we ad JVR by moving Simmer then sure but otherwise, I prefer Simmer for 4 x 5.5 (max i would pay). He is proven and has those intangibles. Allison might be closer than Ratcillfe but I don't see either being ready for another year or 2. Do you think Allison will be anything more than a 4th liner?</div></div>
I think Allison has solid potential myself, he has size and skill and the metrics for equating college production to NHL production already place him as a contributing 3rd liner worth over 40 points. I know these averages don't count for **** in the end but he has real talent.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PhlthyRich</b></div><div>Just an estimated guess. I figured he'd be due a raise + competition from other teams wanting to sign him.</div></div>
I am of the opposite mind. He signed for 4x$2M at 24 years old after a physical rookie year of 14g, 29pts. The expectation, and reason for $2M, would be that his play would improve, but it has actually slipped a bit. His offense is down, his physicality is down, his ice time is down. Not close to the expectation. Now at 28 years old he isn't going to be getting better than he is (mild variation up or down due to different team and style of play accepted). I could see him doing a one year bridge to try to prove himself like Comeau did a few years back ($700K in Pit that turned to 3x$2.4M in Col)
