I think part of the sell to have Stone sign in Philly would be the possibility of playing on the same line a Giroux so I think you'd have to honour that a little and bump him up, even if you're rolling out 3 top lines with about even ice-time.

I think putting him with Coots is the better idea. Lindblom, Coots and Stone as a shutdown line with high offensive potential could be lethal!

I do remember Parise and Kessel talking about being interested in playing with Giroux when they were joining a new team.

My thought process was Frost would probably fit best with JVR. But instead of having one stacked defensive line I wanted to spread the defensive forwards so Stone was the most logical RW. So that line was basically set in stone (no pun intended). Then with the other 6 top 9 forwards, I just stuck with a line that’s working now and he first line was basically the leftovers

I think i would go Giroux-Couts-Stone. Not only could this line shutdown opposing team's top line, but also score against them.

I don't think Frost starts as a C. Most likely he will take Konecny's route and be a winger so you can put G back at C.

There is too much chemistry with JVR/G/TK to break them up. When the streak started, they put these 3 together.

Why are we trading a young dman for a 3rd round pick? He was a 2nd many considered to be 1st round talent. He's 23 with 100 games under his belt already.

I’m aint trading a player based off his draft pedigree, I’m trading him based off how good he is. He really isn’t great. His only value comes on the PK and when we have a lead with like 30 seconds left and it doesn’t matter where the puck goes as long as it doesn’t hit the back of your net

That's fine and all to not base a trade on pedigree. A young cheap NHL dman is worth more than a 3rd rounder though. He is far from perfect but throws his body around and will hopefully develop his offense more. Throwing him away for a 3rd his horrible asset management.

If a team wants to give us a decent return for him I’m all for it, but at this point he’s a replacement level d-man so I really wouldn’t care what we get for him. They can even keep him in the pressbox if they want, I wouldn’t bat an eye
