This is nowhere close. Stone is 1 or 2 in OTT's forward group, not to mention he's likely the next captain when Karlsson leaves. Unless Isles aren't trading for him unless they know they can sign him. This guy is a proven two way player who is entering his prime. If I'm OTT, I would hang up the phone unless the first thing the Isles said was Beauvillier. Even at that, there would have to be multiple good young pieces/picks coming back.

Sens fans think Stone will get them a return comparable to Karlsson. The guy is a very good winger, but he's a winger who has scored at a point a game pace once, and that wasn't even a full season. Tone it down, you're starting to sound like Hab fans talking about Pacioretty.

Dude, the fact that you think Mark Stone would sign an extension at 6M shows how clueless you are about him as a player. His next contract will be between 7.5-8M which means that a dump like Clutterbuck and a bust unwanted prospect like Ho-Sang is not even close to cutting it. All it does is expose your knowledge...

That is a terrible contract for a winger who has scored at a point a game level 1 time. He hasn't proven to be close to an elite player in the league. He's proven without a shadow of a doubt to be a very good winger and one time was scoring at an over a point a game pace. Handing out 8 million dollars to a winger who has had 1 great season and several good ones, is a recipe for disaster.

It'd be like Vegas giving William Karlsson 9 million. He's a centre and they make more than wingers but again, has had 1 great season.
