The first trade you have is absolutely not ging through. Boychuk is a cap dump, and giving Ottawa a 7th (and getting a better pick in return) makes no sense. Add a 3rd on your side, and change that 7th to a 5th or 6th, and maybe that would go through (even then it may not be enough value for Ottawa).
Bailey for Brannstrom and a 1st isn't a terrible trade. I say that because it makes sense to get rid of him with Eberle, Lee, Beauvillier and Bellows on the wings, but that implies a lot of growth from those last two guys I mentioned. So, as for making the trade, I am okay with that, but Brannstrom and a first may be asking a little high. Brannstrom, a 2nd and a 6th probably gets it done, but I don't think Vegas would want him (or want to give any team one of their top D prospects.
The next trade confuses me. I am assuming you want rid of Hickey, and so you package him with Brannstrom for a 2nd round pick? In your universe, that means Bailey for a 1st (probably late) and 2nd, and who knows what picks will be. If they do acquire Brannstrom, they certainly are not trading him.
I think you have over-valued Nelson, I don't see a team giving a first round pick for him, but that depends on his growth over the next two seasons. However, he is a center, and if any team is goin to overpay it would be Montreal.
The last trade i am indifferent, seems like a sawoff really.
Overall, looks like the Isles got a solid team to look forward to in a year or two, I don't agree with some of the signings, but it fits under the cap and the team looks good. If I was the Isles I would just try to dump Boychuk's contract somehow and just ride it out until the prospects are ready.
