Only time will tell, just hope Habs fan don’t get mad at MB if he holds on for the best deal and Patches ends up walking for nothing

Florida isn't dealing Tippett not for one year of Pacioretty. Doubt he'd resign there. The Panthers aren't going anywhere as long as Luongo is their Goalie.

Pacioretty has mentionned the Panthers specifically as a team he would like to play for, according to Friedman. Extension would be agreed before trade in any cases

He definitely wants to play for the Panthers, that’s public knowledge.

Panthers are no longer interested in Max after adding Hoffman. They have 3 top 6 LW now . One is going to play RW as it is. Trading Bjugs for Max would create a hole on the riight side to get something they don’t need. And they would NOT add Tippett in the deal anyway. Unless the Habs want Hoffman and a 3rd or 2nd for Max then there isn’t a trade here. Dallas is the best fit to move him.

Dadanov can play either wing so the Cats can flip him to right if Bjugstad goes in the deal. You are mistaking if you don’t think they have interest. Tallon even said after acquiring Hoffman that he can just sit back and wait until August to see what’s available and for what price.

Almost every FW can play either wing. Does not mean it’s a good idea to have 4 natural LW on top 2 lines. Nor is it wise to pile up 1 side and deplete the other. Of course they are “interested” in Max. But they don’t need him. The position he plays is already in good shape. It’s a dumb move. Trading from a weakness to fix a strength. If they can get him cheap then flip Hoffman, sure. Otherwise.....would not count on it.

Of course, definitely not overpaying for him. Only if it’s a deal that makes sense for the Cats
