NHL teams, by rule, are required to protect any players with NTCs. I think we could pull a Grabovski with Seattle, but we would have to lose assets doing it.

Wrong players with NMC are the ones that must be protected, Having a NTC means nothing. It's the ones with NMC that must be protected.

HawkIsles, I think Ladd's NMC becomes a NTC next year. Fairly certain of that.
