It might have something to do with how deep they are.

So what happens next season? There's a few names there that may be looking for some money if they pan out like we hope. And there aren't any big contracts ended so Simmonds deal might cause some problems there.

The only free agents the next season 21-22 is Rubstov, Hagg, Morin, and Hart. All RFA's. Capfriendly doesn't account for Frost and Ratcliffe slide ruling for 18-19 so they'd still be on their ELC through 21-22. I imagine if things work out properly that Hart is the big signing here. I estimated cap space of 5.3 Million during 20-21. Another cap increase of 2 million and it's 7.3. There's enough to get Hart done there. As for the other 3, I'd guess now that Hagg is re-signed but Rubstov and Morin might not be due big raises.
