Every team should have a EK trade

Created by: msekkes
Team: 2018-19 Philadelphia Flyers
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 16, 2018
Published: Jul. 18, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This is, in my opinion at least, an over payment and I really think the Senators are weakening their position the longer this drags on for but I think they will eventually find a partner that will offer them a huge package of a combination of picks/veteran fill ins/prospects. I really hope someone steps up at camp and takes a job away from Lehtera or they pull a trade off for a solid PK C

Not a terrible trade since we're not trading Frost/Sanheim.

Not going to pay that much for Erik Karlsson. Would be more comfortable with a deal along these lines:

Philadelphia Flyers
Erik Karlsson (with Extension)

Ottawa Senators
Philippe Myers
German Rubstov
Rights of Linus Hogberg
2019 1st round pick (PHI)
2020 2nd round pick (PHI)

Need to include a roster dman going back to make room for him. MacDonald/Neuvirth were more so dumps.

I also really don't see them moving him without Ryan coming along for the ride, but maybe they'll break on that since it's making it nearly impossible to pull a trade off without a 3rd team coming in to absorb some salary.

Just say no to Bobby Ryan unless they want to retain 50%
