Description

Bennett isn't going to be a top 6 in Calgary and they will need the cap space to resign Mike Smith(or other goalie) and Matt Tkachuk after next season.
Sproul and Jurco add talent and depth to Wilkes and deepen the farm system if call up are needed or a mid season trade is made. Blueger, Dea, Jurco, Hayes, all can fill in on 4th line if needed

Good CGY trade. But it will cost more for Pickard, probably at least a 2nd.

I could see this trade with CGY working for both sides. Would be great to have a bit more NHL data on Jarry, but this has plenty of value coming back.

I think PIT needs to add a prospect to the Pickard deal. Or just do a 2nd rounder straight up. It’ll be a late pick either way, nearly a 3rd rounder.

How? Pickard was picked up on waivers and cleared waivers later in the season. He finished the year as the backup in the AHL. He may cost less than a 4th.
