Paying Nylander too much and giving up too much too Vancouver

The longer the offseason dwindles down, the less likely a trade seems to happen. In my opinion, Chris Tanev is not worth 2 top prospects, one of whom is probably NHL ready. Because of how well the Leafs have been developing their draft picks, it would make more sense for them to risk a pick, since Vancouver could blow the pick they acquire rather than receive more sure things. I think Calle Rosen and a 2nd is more than fair, maybe even too fair.

I agree, too much for willy, I see him getting a bridge deal to get to the end of the Marleau contract

Everyone sees that as such a good idea, but mark my words, he'll score near or over a point a game in the next 2 seasons and if he does that on a 2 year bridge deal, he's going to demand over 9 in 2 years. Get him locked in for 8 years at just over 7 and laugh when he turns in some big years.
