I don’t think it is possible for a pick to be top 3 protected. Think it is only top 10. Plus T3 is a wee bit too much for patches. Plekanec Trade is ok I guess. OOF that Weber trade. It should be you giving up the first and a 2nd and receiving 2 6ths. Shaw Trade is ok I guess

You think the oilers (or any team) needs a Lucic more than a Weber?

It's possible for a pick to be protected from whatever you want. It's like a conditional pick, you can make the condition whatever you want. You can make a pick protected from being 17th overall or some random number if you want.
