The final roster will have 23 or 22 people on it so yes two people will be sent down/waived. Thorburn/Sundqvist/Nolan are all pretty expendable and Schmaltz will likely have a two way deal. We can be over the cap by 10 percent during the summer so we will be fine.

You at least need to put Nolan, Thorburn in minors and you aren’t over cap. If they are on a 2-way deal and they are in minors. It doesn’t count toward the NHL Cap.

does a two way deal exempt you from waivers? also what if someone claims Sundqvist, Nolan or Thorburn?

It exempts 2-ways and Thorburn can go Idc about him. Nolan no one would pick him up

Bouwmmester and Bertuzzo start the year on LTIR apparently, cap is a daily thing, not a yearly thing, please refer to article 50 of the 2013 CBA... and you have a forward too many

the blues are fine

Yes and honestly Nolan most likely won't make the team anyways.

FALSE (NHL is not EA Sports)... only ELCs are waiver exempt... Sundqvist, Nolan or Thorburn all need to clear waivers

He still wouldn't hurt to have as a depth player since he has playoff experience and a Stanley cup

Who cares, all three of those guys will clear except for maybe Sundqvist, but Sundqvist is not an NHL level player. Thomas/Kyrou/Kostin/Blais making the team will not be affected by the prospect of losing those guys to waivers.

2 way deals have nothing to do with whether the player requires waivers or not. It just affects how much they get paid.
