Description
Considering what we got for Tatar, I don't think a 2nd and 3rd is unreasonable for Nyquist. Bringing back Howard on a short term, low cost deal gives our goalie prospects a few more years to mature, while also providing a solid if unspectacular tandem with Bernier.

Skinner was an obvious overpay, but I did that to keep the term short. With extensions for Mantha and Athanasiou, and deals for Zadina and Rasmussen in a few years, I didn't want to lock up a ton of money long-term.

The Daley trade was made to create roster space; I would expect the return to be minimal. The Leafs have made it pretty clear that they aren't going to play Leivo, I think he'd be a great low-risk high-reward addition, and Babcock loves Glendening.

There have been rumblings out of Edmonton that Klefbom could be on his way out; Green at $3M gives them an experienced defenseman who can run their powerplay. Saarijarvi is a solid prospect that gives them a right handed defenseman after Green is gone; Svechnikov would add to their young forward corps, and the 3rd round pick is a sweetener considering the great deal that Klefbom is on.

The trades make sense for the most part. I'm not sold on Daley being traded, but it is definitely not out of the realm of possibility. I do not see the Klefbom trade happening. I think the 3rd round pick is an overpayment, and I don't see Mike Green waving his NTC.
I see what you are trying to do with the Skinner deal, but I think Skinner is going to want a bit more term than 3 years. I would assume he would be looking at a contract in the 5-7 year range. I wouldn't mind committing to Skinner long term. He is a great skater and can score goals, I think he'd be a good fit for Detroit going forward. I would be okay with signing Skinner to a 6 year deal in the range of 6 million.

Green's NTC turns into a 10 team no-trade at the 2019-20 trade deadline; if the Oilers are in a playoff spot, I think he would accept the deal with the idea of padding his stats playing with McDavid, in an effort to get a bigger deal the following offseason. As for the 3rd being an overpay, I disagree; Klefbom just turned 25 and is on a fantastic deal.

I wouldn't hate that deal, I feel like it'd have to be more in the $7M range though. Pitching him $8M over 3 takes him to his age 30 season, and I would point to the deal James Neal just signed as a 30 year old (5 years, $5.75M). He'd be one of the focal points of Detroit's offense, which would pad his stats and improve his outlook for the next deal. With the cap increasing, he could be looking at something like $6.5 over 5 on his next deal; that'd be an average of just over $7M over 8 years, which is better than $6M over 6. That being said, there's obviously more security and less injury risk with your proposal.
