Description

With big Buff and Myers on the right side, and Trouba having issues with the Jets for a few years now, it seems a move may be possible. Although Gards has his defensive flaws, he is a 50+ pt d-man that can captain a powerplay. Pair that with a B prospect in Bracco and it might be a deal that works out for both teams.

Dude this was a completely hypothetical trade for the LEAFS. Its the type of trade they should target. Im not a jets fan so im not saying they would/should do this. Also, im not the type of leaf fan that goes out and says we should be getting every player out there. Very rarely do i see a trade "rumor" that i think is possible, but there was turmoil between Trouba and the Jets, the Jets are stronger on the Rright side compared to the left, and they need a cheap wing prospect to be able to come up in the next few years. With those reasons, i looked at Jake and Bracco and said that is a hypothetical trade that is possible.

Ok it’s hypothetical.. that doesn’t mean it’s a good trade

Depends where they decide to play chiarot, he played some 1st and 2nd pairing minutes last year, but that's also why I said bottom 3 so that he could move between the bottom 2 pairings on the left side.

Also I'm assuming this trade does not include Nylander's rights, if it does this absolutely wouldn't happen, and I feel like they would have to pay him more than 6.5 AAV in free agency but who knows.

I would never trade Nylander tbh. It would have to be a trade that the Leafs were clearly winning to do that. 6.5 is around what Pastrnak got and he hasn't proved to be better then him so im hoping its around that number
