jets as of today not good enough
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mcoach69</b></div><div>the order of the lines don't matter as much as who plays with who and the only line that seems set is the TLC line</div></div>
Not sure I follow your train of thought when designing this post then, Connor, Scheifele Wheeler played together almost all of last year and combined for over 150 even strength points, Little played between laine and ehlers and both had career years, really just move the 1st line here to the 4th line and bump every line up and you've got an equivalent to their lineups from last year accounting for the loss of stastny and armia. The same lineup that got them 3 points behind the presidents trophy last year only with an additional year of regular season and 3 rounds of playoff experience... Having a hard time understanding what you feel would be 'good enough.' 6 proven elite players and several solid complimentary pieces are not enough?

I think the biggest issue here is how you've ordered the lines, otherwise they look solid

Yeah I think you've missed entirely what Julius Honka's trade value is. He would be a central piece in acquiring EK from OTT.

Wheeler and Myers Walks, Duchene Sign and Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Mardzy</b></div><div>Why spend a couple assets to get Duchene, when that money could be put towards Wheeler who is a much better player?</div></div>
I agree, I don't really understand why I'm hearing so much from Winnipeg about letting Wheeler walk at free agency, especially if you were to looking to bring in other cap to replace him. The guy is a beast and a workhorse and proved this year amidst injuries that he can play center. At the very least trade him at the deadline to a contender, regardless, any team would be lucky to have him as an impact player and mentor for young guys (looking at you Arizona and Carolina).

People seem to have pretty short memories when applying value to Pacioretty. Many teams would like to have him long term. That being said, this trade is too far tilted in Montreal's favour, that 1st would have to be a 2nd or 3rd if this would be anywhere close to getting done.

I think it's fair. Maybe add a 3rd going to MTL to compensate for taking on Bobby Ryan's AWFUL contract and we're square.
Also playing EK on the left side was a nice touch.

He would have been top 6 in forward scoring on Van last year and top 3 the previous year. His prime is likely behind him but he's not a 4th liner, especially not on that roster.

PHI is giving up way too much there...even if this deal was done today it would be too much. The assets MTL is sending are trending downwards too.</div></div>
I'm not certain which trade you're referring to there... I agree that the Phi trade is a bit off unless there is development on the side of MTL's outbound prospects, particularly McCarron.

TAMPA BLOWUP THAT WAS PROMISED
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>csick</b></div><div>Ottawa Trade is fair. Stamkos trade kind of fair althought probably replace Arvidsson with Smith. Take Saad out of the Chicago trade. Callahan needs at least a prospect and/or pick from the 1st 2 rounds to get rid of him. Colorado trade looks fair in value but idk if Colorado does it. Youre getting wayyyyyyy too much for JT Miller. Youre not getting enough in the Point trade. Kings, Stars and Wings deals look pretty much even. Hedman is not getting enough of a return, it would start with Juolevi/Hughes. Stralman deal looks fair. I think youre getting a bit too much for McDonagh maybe take out Coleman or switch the 1st to a 2nd. Anaheim, Arizona and Buffalo deals look fair. Youre getting too much from Ottawa, take out Colin White. Youre getting way too much for Vasilevsky. Take out Kyrou, Binnigton and the 2nd rounder and replace it with Fabbri</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>The_Real_FBGM_37</b></div><div>So read the description cuz this ain’t serious</div></div>
What kind of a response is that? Of course it's not serious. He gave you about as much feedback as you could hope for on this site, most of which was either agreeing with you or suggestive constructive, realistic alternatives. Also I think you're getting too much for Palat.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>F50marco</b></div><div>PETRY?? Alzner ok. Schelmko hell yeah but Petry? The only guy that showed up last year and you want to boot him out?
You do realize Drouin/Galchenyuk were minus 30 last year also? The entire team stunk!!! If you are blaming Petry for not being a superstar on a bad team then I think you have the wrong impression of people. Petry is a top 4. He was asked to be a top pairing. On a bad team. With the goalie having a career worst year. In fact everyone except for Gally and Petry had bad seasons. Why not rip into Gallagher too? 30 goals.... not enough We need 40!!
YEAH **** PETRY! HE SHOULD OF MADE SAVES AND COACHED THE TEAM BETTER TOO. TRADE HIM! :rolleyes</div></div>
Agreed. Not to mention your solution was to bring in a guy who hasn't been able to consistently hold an NHL spot for his whole career while averaging a negative +/- on good teams. Not that +/- is that relevant of a stat in the modern NHL but this whole franco-centric mentality is a contributing factor as to why this team hasn't seen the success that it possibly could have. Should have pushed harder to keep all the quality Russian players we once had...

Need Center
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>lab1123</b></div><div>Because Muzzin have already been part of trade rumors with MTL. They are interested in him. If they want another D, you can give them Benn, Alzner (with retain) or Schlemko. It's not overpaid to give reinhart for Pacioretty. Condition is if Pacc sign with Buffalo. They will have to three scorer in Skinner, Pacc, Eichel. They have lot of young prospect. It's a good mix of vet and rookie. Finaly, if you think FLA don't want to pay that price, a 3rd round will be ok. McCarron Can be a surprise and become a Brian Boyle.</div></div>
For the record, those trade rumours didn't involve because LA was interested in trading Muzzin, they wanted to acquire Patches but then essentially addressed that need by signing Kovalchuk. After picking up skinner I also don't think that Buffalo will ship out young roster players for Pacioretty, they aren't in win now mode despite having made significant changes, and they would surely still rather maintain their core of young skill than trade it for a pending UFA.
