not only they pass on the trade, there is no way any team signs patches to such an expensive long term deal.

People seem to have pretty short memories when applying value to Pacioretty. Many teams would like to have him long term. That being said, this trade is too far tilted in Montreal's favour, that 1st would have to be a 2nd or 3rd if this would be anywhere close to getting done.
