Additional Details:
Bobby Ryan gets a bad rap (and rightfully so) mostly due to his horrible contract. Retaining half, making him a $3.625M player makes him tradeable. If he can stay healthy, he could be a valuable player for Carolina.

Additional Details:
Winnipeg is 100% a playoff team, and the 1st round pick will most likely be a late one. Since they weren't able to re-sign Stastny, maybe Duchene is an option they would look at for a #2 C. Not sure if this completely work for the Jets due to having to extend big name players soon (and also Duchene if this trade happened), but they would be a top contender with Matty.

Duchene is worth way more IMO. Dunno if Ottawa would take back Chiasson. Also don't think they'd be willing to retain that much on Ryan but obviously that would be the right move for them

With only one year left, they would maybe do a conditional 2nd if he resigns but thats about it imo

only because sakic somehow fleeced them. He had a good second half last yea but now there are some question marks around him

might be an underpayment but something tells me there isnt a whole lot of interest around the league for him. i think the worst thing for ottawa to do is package him with karlsson with no salary retained. it only lowers the value of karlsson.
