That's a very interesting trade right there.

Gonna decline because I think we could get more back than that for Skjei, but definitely a good offer! Thanks man!

Gonna have to decline this one. Throw in Draisaitl, Yamamoto, and Klefbom and we could MAYBE start a conversation.

I like the creativity in the deal with Kyrou and the picks, but Skjeis value is definitely higher than what was offered because of his new contract and his age.

Blues definitely have a lot of assets the Rangers would like to have if you want to try again!

Well I’m looking at the most expendable from what Armstrong has said. Thomas and KK is Untouchable. So what about Barbashev?

Hmmm I've always like Barby, but if KK is untouchable it's gonna be hard to make a deal for Skjei. Our biggest needs right now are scoring wingers unfortunately ??

Ok, jokes aside, you could definitely get a haul eating cap space for Detroit, considering that they need to lock Larkin down. The trickier part is that figuring out who you're eating because almost everyone in Detroit has some form of a clause that prevents them from being traded. Zetterberg is probably not getting moved (though I wouldn't even want to take that 37-year-old $6,000,000 for 3 years).

Maybe Franzen? Howard? Either way you could definitely get at least a 2nd round pick+ to take one, probably even a 1st+ considering they're essentially trading to sign Larkin.

I think we could sneak out some 2nds and 3rds, but maybe not 1sts since those picks will be top 15 yknow?

Conditional 1st for if the 1st round pick is in the top 10 (or 5?) the 1st pick moves to 2020?

That seems a lot more likely ??would need to take back two contract probably. Something like Abdelkader and Ericcson for a 2019 or 2020 Lottery protected first round pick

As I mentioned before, the problem with Detroit is that so many of their major cap hits have clauses in their contracts. Abdelkader is one of the people with a clause (so does Ericsson but he has a 19-team-no-trade list so him less so).
