Management has stated they will bring 26 guys to China, the rest of the crew will remain in CGY playing exhibition games

Some tough choices and some notable omissions include, Valimaki, Dube, Kylington.

The team is essentially set. There's one bottom 6 forward spot. I'd expect that spot is between Mangiapane and Foo to battle with Czarnik, Lazar and Hathaway to be an every day player.

I'm pretty sure the blueline is essentially set to start the year. If Andersson has a phenomenal camp will make it, but I think most likely the top 6 will be as listed and Prout will be the 7th guy

Backup goalie will be interesting and could be the best battle of camp. Taking 3 to China, I think you see Smith start the first game then Rittich/Gillies split the second, or Smith starts both and plays half and each of Rittich and Gillies play a half. My guess is Rittich wins the job

I see Klimchuk making a good push for a 4th line spot. Great all around player. Good skating, good skill. A little small but plays hard. Dedicates hard to fitness and nutrition. Does not appear to have the injury woes that he did in Junior. Most likely though it will be a rotating cast of Hathaway, Czarnik & Lazar for the final 2 spots until Mangiapane, Klimchuk & Foo play well enough or injuries get them called up & into the lineup full time.

Andersson is NHL ready but I don't see him playing LD, and he won't play RD over Brodie, Hamonic or Stone, until injuries happen. I also see Valimaki getting the 6th D spot over Kulak & Andersson. Valimaki is very underrated & I see a straight jump out of Junior. The only thing he doesn't do too well on is the physical/body contact portion of the game.
