If Greenway is playing center it's in the AHL.

Rau has no business in the NHL. Read makes the team ahead of him.

Gut feeling is Olofsson starts the year in the NHL and Seeler starts the year in the AHL, simply because of waivers eligibility.

It's pretty clear that Bruce trusts only one of Olofsson and Seeler to play regularly and it definitely isn't Olofsson. It says a lot that Bruce had Soucy play 4 of the 5 playoff games with only 3 NHL games under his belt while Olofsson was healthy and available but stayed on the bench through the playoffs.

I really don't see how Seeler doesn't start off the year in the NHL unless Olofsson has an amazing camp and Seeler forgets how to play hockey. It's Seeler's spot to lose in my mind. According to Russo, the team has tried and failed to move Olofsson enough that they would likely be willing to try to pass him through waivers and not be too concerned if he gets taken.

Olofsson was coming off of a concussion and wasn't allowed to even skate for most of his injury time. I don't blame BB for not playing him against the physical Jets team with that injury. He might have been cleared to pay but he might not have been ready to play. A couple of years ago when Zucker got his bell rung he he came back too soon and wasn't on his game at all for the remainder of the season.

I don't see Seeler or Soucy as heads and tails above Olofsson, they were just healthy and he wasn't as the season ended. I like Seeler a lot and have been higher on his over the past season and a half than most Wild fans, but I really do need to see the preseason to rank them. Seeler/Soucy need to be much better than Olofsson, not just slightly better, to make the team over him. The Olofsson/Reilly debacle last season should still be fresh in everyone's mind and the waiver eligible guys get sent down.

Think about how nice it would have been to have Reilly last year for the Playoffs when Suter and Olofsson got injured. He was traded because they burned his waivers exempt games played status.

Russo has about as much info with the current GM than we as random fans do. He's even admitted the organization has been completely tight lipped with him and it frustrates him. Brodin was supposed to be gone about 15 times over according to Russo over the past 3 seasons, and that's when they told him things...
