Trading a generational talent in their prime for a subpar package is stupid. I would hold on to him till the end of the year to have the Colorado pick as low in the draft as possible. Next, put the owner in a tough spot. Fans are already mad at him. He either lets EK walk for free and have even more angry fans who don't show up to games anymore and lose more money. Or give EK a deal with bonuses. If you want neither, sell the team. One of these 3 will happen. Just hold on Dorion

Why should Ottawa even worry about the # 1 pick, it's gone Even with EK on the team year round, the Sens are worse than last year. Hoffman is gone and Stone is last year could be traded. Looks like a last place finish for sure
