  1. Faulk, Justin
  2. Williams, Justin ($1,125,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Vegas has long been connected to Karlsson. After giving up Suzuki, I don't see them wanting to give up another top prospect. Faulk may be available and while the price is still high, you get potentially 2 playoff runs out of Faulk versus just one of EK. Also acquire proven winner in Williams who in the twilight of his career is looking for cup #4. Essentially a 1st and 2 2nd's for Faulk, Hague and a 3rd for Williams and Merrill and Lindberg go to CAR to make it financially work
CAR
  1. Hague, Nicolas
  2. Lindberg, Oscar

  5. 2019 3rd round pick (NSH)

I love the look of this idea, but cap space is gonna be tough for 2019-20. Could make it work since Haula and Schmidt won’t get big raises and some fringe players can be traded/re-signed for less.

It would be tight but may be doable, the cap has been going up by about 2-3 mill a year recently, also the 2 mill retained on Brassard is off the books. Being generous with a 3 mill cap increase, that gives you an extra 5 right there, not to mention the 3.3 from Williams will be off as well. There’s 8.3 right there. Moving on from Bellmare and Engelland (likely retires) will give them over 10 in space
