RNH is worth more then Horvat, adding Nurse is just ridiculous

Look at the EDM side of things. Let it marinate. It's hard to imagine EDM isn't significantly better and it doesn't sacrifice the future.
EDM needs a proven young 2nd line C that costs less than Drai or RNH.

EDM needs to stay on top of cap management. Nurse can do a bridge deal this year, but Talbot is a UFA next summer right? ditto Pontus Aberg, ditto Puljarvi, ditto Caggiula, etc.
At least by taking the initiative it's not death by a thousand cuts as other GMs squeeze Chiarelli.

Adding Shea Weber makes EDM worse. Gallagher + Horvat don't make up for Drai + RNH

If EDM did what you wanted, they would be missing the playoffs after the most #1 overall draft picks in history -- guess what? This is the last kick at the can for GM+Coach because they can't make the playoffs

Getting a little heated. Ues adding a HEALTHY Weber is a big add, but Weber isnt healthy plus the Oilers would be giving up Drai, RNH & Reider for Horvat & Gallagher on offence and Im not sure about you, but Drai alone os better then those 2, Add Rieder to Drais wing and RNH to McDavids and the offence looks decent how it is. Rather then assume I was going off of draft position alone you might want to have asked what I was using and provided some better info yourself rather then the link to a very broad site. So until you show solid evidence to back up you wild idea that taking away half of the Oilers top-6 will benefit the team I will assume you're a troll

for fun, remind me when EDM makes their next big move this season and see if you like that deal better than mine. Win or lose, the team is going to be a mess

I do think Gallagher and Weber would be perfect fits in Edmonton, and moving Draisatl is the smoothest way to end EDM's cap crunch.
Something has gotta move, there's probably other GMs out there waiting to see what they have before being the first to flinch. I think it's awesome if EDM and runs face first into a lamp post.

If they do well, values increase on players that need to be signed. This is impossible, and every GM in the league knows EDM is desperate to salvage what they can.
