To be honest we probably would have to because the value is so far off, ozhiganov is looking like our best rhd so neither one is a player we are looking to move. And really the chances of Rantanen moving anywhere is less than zero, so it’s not really a discussion point lol.

I believe you are talking about Matthews, I can’t claim to know Rantanen inside and out, I’ve only seen a handful of games but for everything matthews does over the entire 200’ he is very unreplaceable to the leafs. Value wise sure it’s close. Even this trade posted here has the value way off (mind you most people haven’t seen Ozhiganov play and he is by no means proven) but as far as needs go nylander and Oz is what our team needs. Sure we can go ahead and trade off our D... what the hell trade off Andersen to and put a cardboard cut out of eddy the eagle in there but how much offence can you consistently produce.

I was actually talking about nylander. Matthews is an untouchable I bet leaf fans wouldn’t trade him for anything less than McDavid. As a capitals fan Matthews is very close to kuznetsov in talent even though they both play 2 different styles. Matthews is young and hopefully he pulls a Crosby and takes a hometown discount for leafs
